About the MagicMum's Charity Ball

On the evening of Sunday, November 25th 2007, a well known member on the Irish parenting chat forum, Magicmum.com, had the idea of holding a charity ball for Magicmum's to give something back. The idea took off immediately, with offers from other Magicmum members; offering help, donations, services, the list was endless. Nobody ever thought Magicmum, with its 14,000 or so members, was such a melting pot of talents and experience!

Within a few hours of posting the initial idea, a committee was formed, and the organisation fun began!

On April 19th, 2008, the inaugural MagicMum Charity Ball was held, in aid of The Laura Lynn Foundation (Children's Sunshine Home) & ISANDS.

In 2009, the MagicMum Charity Ball was held in aid of The Baby Oisín Fund - Meningitis Trust and CARI.

Both these events raised significant funds for the charities involved!

This year, following the annual MagicMum's Charity Ball is in aid of Irish Autism Action, and is being held in The Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Dublin, on the 24th of April 2010.
